Radar is an ideal sensor technology for all sorts of scanning and imaging applications, especially when environmental conditions are less than perfect (e.g. in rain, snow, sleet, fog, smoke, dust, darkness, etc). To date, however, affordable radar has largely been mechanical and low performance, while high performance electronically scanning radar has been prohibitively expensive for commercial uses. By creating the world’s lightest, smallest, and lowest cost high performance electronically scanning radar, Echodyne wants to reinvent the way the world uses radar, to make radar the ideal sensor it should be, and to make radar vision a reality.
