Eric Wagner
Eric Wagner is a registered patent attorney. His responsibilities include the preparing and prosecuting of patent applications, assisting OTC staff regarding patent and licensing matters, as well as the management of intellectual assets owned by Duke University.
Diane Busch
Diane Busch is a registered patent agent, working with Eric to assist Duke inventors with their IP – particularly, engineering-related inventions. Her roles have included mechanical design engineer, thermal engineer, mechanical analyst, and product engineer.
Pranam Chatterjee
Pranam Chatterjee is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, and Biostatistics & Bioinformatics at Duke University. Research in his Programmable Biology Group exists at the interface of generative AI and protein engineering to design platforms for applications in genome, proteome, and cell engineering.
Manny Stockman
Manny Stockman is a Partner at the university innovation-focused venture capital firm Osage University Partners. At Osage, he has invested in core technology areas across software, computing, and hardware. He has held Director or Observer roles at Everactive, NuMat, SiFive and IonQ.
Rory Pheiffer
Rory Pheiffer is a Partner at the full-service business law firm Barnes & Thornburg. He works with clients to develop patent portfolios, domestically and abroad, that align with their business goals. He also counsels clients on patent opinion and product clearance matters, IP due diligence issues on the buyer and seller side, license negotiations, and trademark portfolio growth and enforcement in conjunction with building the client’s brand.
Daniel Dardani
As OTC’s Director of Physical Sciences and Digital Innovations Licensing and Corporate Alliances, Dan Dardani is responsible for outreach, marketing and licensing for physical sciences and digital innovations, and use of translational funds for investment in nascent technologies within Pratt, Trinity, Duke Health and other Duke schools. He also works in concert with the Office for External Partnerships (OEP) to provide strategic support to the development of multi-year corporate alliances, business development partners, and negotiation of IP terms for significant corporate sponsored research agreements.
