About
Zachary Widel joins OTC as Assistant Director, where he supports a range of Physical Sciences & Digital Innovations technologies. Previously, he was Associate Technology Manager on the Technology Transfer Team of the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to his transition to the field of technology transfer, Zach earned his PhD in Chemistry at our very own Duke University (in the lab of Michael Therien) where he studied the photophysics of nanoscale and molecular systems in addition to a B.S. in Chemical Physics from Lewis University. Outside of work, Zach enjoys spending time outdoors climbing, hiking, running, and biking.
