Activated caspase-3 reporter mouse

Technology

The activated caspase-3 reporter mouse is an in vivo screening assay for apoptosis (regulated, energy-dependent cell death) in all tissues. Fluorescence miscroscopy of the fluorophore mCerulean reveals levels of caspase-3 activation in cells, and hence progression towards apoptosis.
