About
As a Technology Marketing Associate, Aki is responsible for creating compelling marketing materials to showcase Duke innovations and initiating licensing and strategic partnerships with industry. He also co-manages the OTC Fellows program, which provides Duke graduate students with the opportunity to gain experience in technology transfer. He previously was an OTC Fellow from 2022 to 2024 while completing his PhD in Neurobiology. His research in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Tadross sought to increase our understanding of how anxiety medications affect specific brain circuits. Aki’s journey has been guided by the belief that scientific innovation has incredible potential to solve the challenges we face, and he is thrilled to join a team that shares that vision.
