Description

Preparing to launch your startup involves more than just deciding on what you will be selling. The journey is exciting, long, and – hopefully – rewarding along both personal and financial vectors. Manny Stockman, Partner at venture capital investment firm Osage University Partners, will walk you through the fundamentals of how best to structure your startup to fairly divide equity amongst multiple founders, understand the impact of taking on venture investment, and the nuances of how investors structure their investment.

This seminar is open to all: students, faculty, staff, and beyond.

About Manny Stockman

Manny joined Osage University Partners in 2015. At Osage, he has invested in core technology areas across software, computing, and hardware. He has held Director or Observer roles at Everactive, NuMat, SiFive and IonQ. Prior to joining Osage, Manny was at Lockheed Martin ATL and Skunkworks. As an engineer executing on the transition of early-stage technologies into the defense industry, he often joined university researchers with his industry team to develop unique technology solutions across the materials, applied physics and photonics domains.

Manny holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Physics and a B.S.E in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Anna, and their two daughters.
